The Kelowna, British Columbia community is mourning the passing of Stefan Vracarevic, who died following a tragic motorcycle collision at the intersection of Harvey Avenue and Ethel Street. His unexpected passing has left family, friends, teammates, and members of the rugby community grieving the loss of a valued member of their community.
According to the Kelowna RCMP, the collision occurred around 10:00 p.m. when Vracarevic was traveling home from rugby practice and was involved in a crash between a motorcycle and a sedan. Police arrived at the scene and confirmed that Vracarevic had died. The driver of the sedan remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The Kelowna RCMP General Investigation Support Team continues investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and is reviewing available evidence, including possible witness accounts and video footage. Authorities are asking anyone with information, dashcam recordings, or surveillance footage from the area to contact police regarding the investigation.
Stefan’s passing has deeply affected the Kelowna Crows RFC, the provincial rugby community, and those who knew him. Friends, teammates, and local residents have created a roadside memorial in his honor, while support services and grief counseling have been made available to help those affected by the loss.
