The Brockport, New York community is mourning the passing of Brandon James Sheffer, 20, who passed away unexpectedly following an accident on Saturday, September 19, 2026. His sudden passing has left his family, friends, former classmates, teammates, coaches, and the wider community grieving the loss of a young man with a bright future.
Brandon was a graduate of Brockport High School, where he made a name for himself as a talented multi-sport athlete. He competed in soccer and wrestling and was also a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo. Beyond athletics, he recently started his own business, Bold Seal, LLC, showing his ambition and dedication.
His passing has deeply affected members of the Brockport wrestling and martial arts communities, as well as those across Monroe and Orleans counties who knew him. Brandon’s family described a life surrounded by strong relationships, including his parents, Kay Pittard and Eric Sheffer; his brother, Collin Sheffer; grandparents James and Jeanne Sheffer; extended family, and many friends.
A visitation service will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Fowler Funeral Home Inc., 340 West Avenue, Brockport, New York. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to PAWS of Orleans County in Brandon’s honor.
