According to authorities, the collision happened near 92nd Street and Hampton Avenue in Milwaukee on a Tuesday morning shortly before 6 a.m. Iyanah was struck by a vehicle while walking, and she was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver remained at the location as investigators continued examining the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Iyanah had moved to Milwaukee nearly two years before her passing with hopes of building a better future for herself and her child. She was working toward becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and was described by friends as a hardworking and determined student who remained committed to achieving her goals.
